Total Retinal Detachment Due To Proliferative Vitreoretinopathy
Funnel retinal detachment due to PVR - the patient is barely LP. Total detachments always connect and extend from the optic nerve.
Demonstrates the narrow funnel shape of the retinal detachment with thickening secondary to PVR. Little if any mobility.
Highly reflective granular shaped lesion at the top of the screen consistent with small areas of calcification in the choroid. Mildly reflective material in the subretinal fluid space consistent with longstanding detachment. Mild to moderate reflectivity of the material within the funnel shaped detachment.
Coronal view of the same narrow throated funnel would demonstrate in a regular circle.
