This patient was referred after complicated cataract extraction, with rupture of the posterior capsule and loss of lens material. A vitreous hemorrhage was present, limiting the clinical exam. Dynamic ultrasound helped to identify the extent of lens material present, and to rule out any additional retinal tears or detachments. This information can be helpful to determining a surgical plan, including the timing and approach to surgery. See Full
